This project is still in an early phase of development.

The python API is not yet stable, and some aspects of the schema for the blueprint and workplan will likely evolve. Therefore whilst you are welcome to try out using the package, we cannot yet guarantee backwards compatibility. We expect to reach a more stable version in 2026.

ApplicationDefinition

class cstar.applications.core.ApplicationDefinition(*args, **kwargs)

Bases: Protocol, Generic[TBlueprint, TRunner]

The contract establishing the metadata needed by the system to orchestrate tasks using their blueprints.

Attributes

ApplicationDefinition.migrations	The available adapters for performing schema migrations.
ApplicationDefinition.name	A short, unique name used to identify the application.
ApplicationDefinition.long_name	A user-friendly display name for the application.
ApplicationDefinition.runner	The runner that executes the application blueprints.
ApplicationDefinition.blueprint	The blueprint containing the application configuration.
ApplicationDefinition.applicable_transforms	Transforms that must be executed prior to execution.
